All students will complete our Foundation Programme with the following:

• ability to discuss and give opinions about various topics studied

• knowledge and understanding of various grammar points

• ability to read and gather information from different types of written documents including; novels, articles, dialogues, interviews, charts and graphs

• ability to listen and obtain information from dialogues, lectures, conversations

• ability to write various types of documents, including; diary entries, stories, essays, projects, reports and academic styles necessary for their degree course

• areas covered on our Business Studies, Economics, Mathematics and Statistics courses as per the syllabuses

• knowledge and practical ability to use study skills to study effectively and independently

• ability to communicate with teachers, classmates and friends on different themes

• understanding of the theoretical and practical differences between the Chinese and British education systems and what it will be like to study in the UK

• familiarity and confidence of using English in a social environment.
