Overview
The University of Dundee is one of the UK's leading universities, ranked in the World's Top 200 Universities by the Times Higher, and internationally recognised for its expertise across a range of disciplines including science, medicine, engineering and art. An established university, it has a progressive and dynamic outlook, constantly striving to build on its achievements: investing in excellent facilities, pushing the boundaries of research, and developing new ways of e-learning.
The university has nearly 11,257 students, of whom 8659 are undergraduate students and 2598 are postgraduate students. International students occupy 12 percent of the total number.

Dundee offers one of the widest ranges of degree courses in Scotland. The University is made up of four academic Colleges, with 16 Schools across the 4 Colleges:

- College of Arts and Social Sciences
- College of Life Sciences
- College of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing
- The university has invested over £40 million in our self catering student accommodation so that our students have a modern, safe and well equipped place to work, rest and make friends. Most of the accommodation has been newly built or refurbished within the past few years.
- Dundee is a major city on the east coast of Scotland. It is known as 'The City of Discovery' which captures the city’s pride in both its modernity and its historic past.
- The campus is five minutes’ walk from Dundee’s main railway station where there is a regular train service to London. Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen are easily accessible by train, car or bus. Edinburgh Airport (1 hour by car) is the nearest International Airport.
- Over 600 generally available PCs on campus – sited in quiet library study zones, traditional computer suites and the i-Wall inside the Students’ Union (DUSA)
- Our International Advice Service helps our international students settle into Dundee by organising cultural excursions and opportunities to meet other students during the first few weeks, and is available to give advice on a range of issues, such as visa extensions, throughout the year.
