Newcastle University
Overview
Newcastle University is located in the North East of England, and has a global reputation for high quality teaching. They have a tradition of welcoming students from all over the world and currently have more than 3,000 international students from over 100 countries. Newcastle University reconfirmed its position as one of the UK's top 20 research institutions in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE). The University was ranked 17th out of 162 UK universities and colleges in a table from the influential Research Fortnight magazine, which analysed the RAE results.
Strengths
